Frequently Asked Questions

How many residential units are proposed?

It is envisaged that a maximum number of residential 18 units is proposed, this will mainly be apartments/flats above commercial units, subject to planning and viability.

What is happening with the Bradley Street toilets and bus station?

The retention of the Bradley Street toilets and bus station in situ was highlighted in previous public consultations as important, and they will remain where they are however options for upgrading these are being considered.

What will happen after the consultation?

The feedback received will be analysed and presented to East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Cabinet to consider and review.

The technical design phase will continue following the public consultation stage with the concept detail being discussed with key partners to create a final design.

A project programme will then be developed and a design review will occur following the conclusion of public consultation which will go into detail about the sites physical and natural assets – such as topographical and building survey information.

Once further information about the sites assets is gained the planning pre-application stage will commence with East Staffordshire Borough Council’s planning department. Once feedback is received in the pre-application stage, the concept will be developed into a full planning application with further site studies and assessments undertaken to support the application for a decision to be made.
