In Bloom 2024
After an outstanding run of consecutive gold medals in the Heart of England In Bloom competition, Burton upon Trent and Winshill have both been rewarded with a place in the RHS National Britain In Bloom finals for 2024.
In an unprecedented achievement to have two finalists from the same borough in the national finals, Burton upon Trent will contest the Small City category and Winshill the Urban Community category.
Both entries will be looking to impress the RHS judges, with their high quality floral displays and outstanding community and business engagement, as they are judged on Friday 16th August.
Burton and Winshill’s Britain in Bloom entry is being supported by ID Verde.
‘We are delighted to be sponsoring this years In Bloom for Burton & Winshill, as we head into the National Finals, our teams are putting the final preparations in place and ensuring that the finer details are as near perfect as they can possibly be. We have worked harder than ever to elevate the standards to a higher level than we ever thought was possible. Finally, I would like to thank the teams responsible for creating and maintaining the green spaces that have already received such high praise from the judges of the Regional In Bloom, without them none of this would be possible’
Cllr Dennis Fletcher commented, Having two entries reach the Britain in Bloom finals is an amazing achievement and I’d like to thank all the volunteers, community groups and local businesses who’ve helped deliver a wide range of community projects this year and also to ID Verde and for supporting our entry.
