Outwoods Neighbourhood Plan has now been “made”
On 17th August 2015, East Staffordshire Borough Council’s Cabinet resolved that the Outwoods Neighbourhood Plan be “made” and it now formally becomes part of the Borough Council’s Development Plan. It will be used to guide planning decisions in Outwoods parish.

Outwoods Neighbourhood Plan gets a “Yes” Vote at Referendum
On Thursday July 23rd voters chose to say “yes” to the Neighbourhood Plan becoming part of the Borough’s Development Plan, to be used in deciding planning applications in the Parish. 89% of those voting said “Yes” (511 people) voted “Yes” and 11% (61 people) voted “No”. There was reasonable turnout of 30.2%. You can view the Notice of Poll which provides the official record of the count.
Outwoods Neighbourhood Plan Referendum – Thursday 23rd July 2015
The Outwoods Neighbourhood Plan was independently examined earlier this year and the Examiner recommended that, subject to some modifications, the Plan should proceed to Referendum. The Borough Council agrees with the Examiner’s report and voted to progress the Plan to Referendum at the Cabinet meeting on 15th June 2015.
