Christmas Collection Arrangements

2024/25 Arrangements

This year, over the Christmas and New Year period, the Council will continue providing your alternate weekly waste and blue bin/bag recycling service. However, please note the following changes to collection days:

Up to 3 additional bin liners of grey bin waste may be put out for collection with the grey wheelie bin on the relevant revised collection date of the 28th December or the 4th January.

Please note that the free brown bin service stops on the 20th December 2024.  If you wish to have your brown bin emptied in 2025 you will need to subscribe to the service.  Please visit our garden waste page for more details.

If you have excess waste or recycling it can be taken to one of the household waste and recycling sites located throughout the Borough.  Please visit Staffordshire County Council's website to find your local household waste site details.  If you have extra cardboard over the festive period, tear or flatten the pieces to the size of your blue bag, secure together (not in any type of bag or bin liner) and leave beside your blue bag for collection. If you regularly have excess cardboard you can request an additional blue bag free of charge online or by emailing [email protected] with your address details.

Christmas Card Recycling

After the Christmas period, residents can recycle Christmas cards (without glitter/ribbons) in their blue bags.
